Fasting is not starvation or an involuntary absence of food; it is abstaining from food for spiritual reasons. Fasting doesn’t move God; it moves us closer to Him.

January 2, 2025

Day 1. Praying for Revival in the Church

Dear Heavenly Father, we humbly come before You, praying for revival in Your church. Pour out Your Spirit upon us, igniting hearts with a passion for Your kingdom. May we be zealous in our pursuit of righteousness and fervent in prayer. Revive us, O Lord, and awaken Your church to bring glory to Your name.

  • Psalm 85:6- Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

Day 2. Interceding for Unity Among Believers

Gracious God, we pray for unity among believers in Your church. Help us to set aside differences and strive for peace and harmony. May Your love bind us together as one body, serving You in unity of spirit and purpose.

  • Philippians 2:2 - complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.

Day 3. Seeking God’s Wisdom for Church Leaders

Almighty God, we lift our church leaders to You, asking for Your wisdom and guidance. Grant them discernment to make decisions according to Your will and courage to lead with integrity. May they be examples of godly leadership, shepherding Your flock with love and humility.

  • James 1:5 - If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

January 5, 2025

Day 4. Praying for Spiritual Growth and Maturity

Heavenly Father, we pray for the spiritual growth and maturity of Your church. May we grow in the knowledge of Your word and deepen our relationship with You. Equip us with spiritual gifts to serve one another and edify the body of Christ.

  • Colossians 1:10 - that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Day 5. Interceding for the Church’s Impact on the Community

Lord, we lift Your church and its ministry in the community. May we be salt and light, shining Your love and truth to those around us. Use us to bring hope, healing, and transformation to the lives of others.

  • Matthew 5:16 -In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

January 7, 2025

Day 6. Praying for God’s Provision for the Church’s Needs

Dear God, we trust in Your provision for the needs of Your church. Provide for us abundantly, both spiritually and materially, according to Your riches in glory. Help us to be good stewards of Your blessings, using them to advance Your kingdom.

  • Philippians 4:19 - And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Day 7. Interceding for Protection Against Spiritual Attacks

Mighty God, we pray for Your protection against spiritual attacks on Your church. Guard us from the schemes of the enemy and strengthen us to stand firm in our faith. Cover us with Your armour and empower us to overcome every obstacle.

  • Ephesians 6:11 - Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Day 8. Seeking God’s Guidance in Times of Decision

Lord, we seek Your guidance in every decision we make as a church. Lead us by Your Spirit and illuminate the path You have prepared for us. Grant us wisdom and discernment to choose according to Your perfect will.

  • Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Day 9. Praying for Healing and Restoration in the Church

Compassionate God, we pray for healing and restoration in Your church. Heal wounds, reconcile relationships, and mend brokenness. Let Your grace and mercy flow freely among us, restoring us to wholeness and unity.

  • 2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Day 10.  Praying for the Church’s Mission and Outreach

Heavenly Father, we pray for the success of the church’s mission and outreach efforts. Equip us with boldness and compassion to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations. Open doors for us to proclaim Your kingdom and bring salvation to the lost.

  • Matthew 28:19-20 - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Day 11. Interceding for God’s Presence in Church Gatherings

Lord, we invite Your presence to dwell among us as we gather in Your name. Fill this place with Your glory and manifest Your presence in our midst. May Your Spirit move among us, drawing us closer to You and to one another.

  • Matthew 18:20 - For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

Day 12. Interceding for the Church’s Unity in Diversity

Gracious God, we thank You for the diversity within Your church. Help us to embrace and celebrate our differences, knowing that we are united in You. May Your love bind us together, transcending cultural, racial, and social barriers.

  • Ephesians 4:3- Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

January 14, 2025

Day 13. Praying for the Church to be a Light in the World

Lord, we pray that Your church would shine brightly as a beacon of light in the world. May our lives reflect Your love, grace, and truth, drawing others to You. Use us to bring hope and transformation to a dark and broken world.

  • Matthew 5:14-16 - You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Day 14. Interceding for the Church’s Ministry to Families

Heavenly Father, we lift the ministry to families within Your church. Strengthen marriages, restore relationships, and guide parents in raising their children in Your ways. May our families be a reflection of Your love and grace.

  • Joshua 24:15 - But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Day 15. Praying for God’s Anointing on Church Leaders

Lord, we pray for Your anointing of the leaders of Your church. Fill them with Your wisdom, power, and discernment as they lead Your people. Grant them grace and humility to serve with love and integrity.

  • 1 Timothy 4:14 - Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.

Day 16. Interceding for the Church’s Financial Stability

Provider God, we pray for the financial stability of Your church. Provide for our needs and bless us abundantly so that we may continue to do Your work. Help us to be faithful stewards of the resources You have entrusted to us.

  • Philippians 4:19 - And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Day 17. Praying for the Church’s Commitment to Discipleship

Lord, we pray for a deep commitment to discipleship within Your church. Help us to grow in our knowledge and understanding of Your word, and to live out our faith in practical ways. Equip us to make disciples who make disciples.

  • 2 Timothy 2:2 - And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

Day 18. Interceding for the Church’s Ministry to the Youth

Compassionate God, we pray for the youth ministry within Your church. Reach out to young hearts and minds, drawing them closer to You. Raise mentors and leaders who will guide them in their faith journey.

  • 1 Timothy 4:12 - Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

Day 19. Inauguration Day - Praying over the President

Gracious Father, we pray for our President, Draw him into a strong relationship with You. Give him a true servant spirit, one who is a person after Your own heart. Anoint him with the Holy Spirit’s power, that he might feel Your strength in every situation. Let integrity and honesty guide every decision as He first looks to You for divine help. Turn his heart from distractions and temptations that could bring harm rather than help to his life, his family, and to the people he serves. Make him a leader in every respect, morally and spiritually strong. Enlighten his mind with discernment, wisdom, and fairness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • Psalm 22:28 - For the kingdom is the Lord’s,And He rules over the nations.
  • Proverbs 21:1 - The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.

Day 20.  Praying for God’s Guidance in Times of Change

Faithful God, we seek Your guidance in times of change within Your church. Lead us and guide us as we navigate new seasons and directions. Help us to trust in Your plan and to follow where You lead.

  • Isaiah 43:19 - See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Day 21.  Praying for God’s Protection Over Church Members

Heavenly Father, we pray for Your protection over every member of Your church. Guard us from harm and danger, both physically and spiritually. Cover us with Your wings of love and keep us safe in Your care.

  • Psalm 121:7-8 - The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”
